Customer Success & Community Outreach Specialist
At Bobby Grich Auto Repair, we’re a small, family-owned shop built on trust, integrity, and a love for our community. Founded by former Angels Hall of Famer Bobby Grich, our shop brings the same passion and teamwork to auto repair that Bobby brought to the baseball field.
We offer priority scheduling, same-day service on 95% of cars, and a lifetime warranty on parts and labor — something you won’t find anywhere else.
Now, we’re looking for a friendly, outgoing team player to help us hit a home run in customer care and community involvement!
The Role
This is a dual-role position focused on:
Following up with customers after their visit to ensure they’re thrilled with our service and to help them schedule future maintenance.
Representing Bobby Grich Auto Repair out in the community by attending events, building relationships, and increasing our local brand awareness.
You’ll be the friendly voice and face of our shop — someone who loves making connections, solving problems, and building lasting relationships.
What You’ll Do
Customer Follow-Ups
One-Week Follow-Up:
Call customers one week after their visit to make sure everything went smoothly.
If they’re happy, thank them and ask for a Google review, then text them our review link:
If they have concerns, listen carefully and connect them with the right person on our team to fix the issue immediately.
One-Month Follow-Up:
Call to review declined or deferred services from their last visit.
Answer questions and help schedule needed services.
Six-Month Follow-Up:
Check in to see if they need an oil change or other routine maintenance.
Keep their vehicle care top of mind and build long-term trust.
Community Outreach
Connect with local car clubs and help plan DIY car care days at our shop on Sundays when we’re closed.
Represent our shop at farmers markets, car shows, trunk-or-treats, and other local events.
Build partnerships with schools, youth sports teams, and local organizations to increase brand visibility.
Spread the word about our family-owned shop and our lifetime warranty in fun, memorable ways.
Who You Are

Automotive Technician​
Position Summary
As an Automotive Technician at Bobby Grich Auto Repair, you’ll work on a wide range of vehicles, including domestic, European, and electric models, with a focus on quality, integrity, and efficiency. You’ll be part of a clean, friendly, no-drama shop that values your time and rewards your performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Execute services including brakes, suspension, A/C, oil changes, electrical, and drivability diagnostics
- Use DVI software and communicate findings clearly with service advisors
- Keep accurate records of repairs and parts used
- Maintain a clean and organized bay
- Contribute to a team-first, respectful culture
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and scan tools
- Knowledge of general repair procedures across multiple vehicle makes
- Clear communicator and team player
- Willingness to keep learning and growing in your role
Education, Certifications, and Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- ASE certifications preferred (but not required—willing to train)
- 2+ years of professional auto repair experience preferred
Service Writer​
Position Summary
As a Service Writer at Bobby Grich Auto Repair, you’re the first and last impression for every customer. You’ll help drivers feel informed and supported while keeping the shop running smoothly. From scheduling and estimates to communication and follow-ups, you’ll be a key player in creating a seamless experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess vehicle concerns
- Schedule appointments and coordinate vehicle drop-offs and pickups
- Create and explain estimates clearly and professionally
- Communicate between technicians and customers during repairs
- Manage invoices and assist with digital payments
- Help foster a friendly, honest, and professional shop culture
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization and follow-through
- Familiarity with general auto repair services is a plus
- Comfortable using digital inspection and shop management software
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Education, Certifications, and Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Prior experience in auto service or customer service roles is preferred

Diesel Foreman​
Position Summary
As the Diesel Foreman at Bobby Grich Auto Repair, you’ll lead our diesel repair operations while working hands-on with Ford Powerstroke, Chevy Duramax, and Dodge Cummins engines. This is a key leadership role in a growing, high-end shop with a focus on integrity, precision, and long-term customer relationships. We pay top dollar for experience and reward performance. If you’re a diesel tech who can diagnose, lead, and get the job done right—we want to talk to you.
Note: We offer a sign-on bonus for qualified diesel techs after 90 days. Duties and Responsibilities

- Specialize in Powerstroke, Duramax, and Cummins engine platforms
- Supervise and support a team of diesel technicians

- Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers
- Maintain accurate records and ensure warranty procedures are followed
- Contribute to a clean, professional, team-first shop environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Expert-level knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repairs
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to delegate tasks, manage priorities, and lead by example
- Familiarity with DVI software and modern shop tools
- High standards for workmanship, safety, and customer service
Education, Certifications, and Experience Required
